Hello everyone who might actually even consider reading this. First off I want to explain the title because I do not want to seem arrogant. It is short for Seminary Student, but basically it still fits because I am a stud too. I am going to try to write in this blog just a short twenty to thirty minutes each day. Not promising it will happen EVERY day but I will try my best. The purpose of this blog is to just give some insight to something I learned that specific day in my seminary classes which I thought was interesting enough to share with you. It might just be something I have never thought about before, or some new angle at looking at old facts, or even just something that caught my attention for thirty seconds as inspiring. I will try not to include too much Greek or Hebrew ;).
Also, I am going to try my hardest to make this a professional publication. That means as little text lingo or abbreviations as possible. I will also try my hardest at using proper English language, grammar, and spelling. No promises since this is a very weak area of mine, but I figure it's good practice as well as easier for you to read. You can correct my mistakes if you want to, but I will warn you of two things. First, if you are editing my writing, you will be a busy person trying to catch all my mistakes, and second, I hope enough of my writings are Gospel inspired and have greater purpose for you to read than to correct me. However, like I said correct me if you want to.
Lastly I just want to say that I am not using this to preach or promising life changing writings. I just simple wanted a way to share a little of what I am learning each day at the seminary. I will probably use a three step format. First, I just want to share a little about what I did that day. It will only be important or interesting things I promise. I will not write about every little detail, just a quick summary with more details on the big stuff. Second I will give context and then explain what I learned or thought about that was fascinating enough to share with you. Again, like I said just something that caught my attention and thought it was important enough for your time as well. And then third I will close with prayer. (Prayer will always be in Italics).
So if you even found this interesting enough to read in entirety, then I hope you enjoy this blog and will try to do my best with it.
Dear Heavenly Father,
May the writings of this blog, and the meanings behind them be one more way I am able to share Your Good News. I thank you for the blessing and opportunity to be at Your seminary, learning and studying Your Word. I ask that You be and abide with me and all my loved ones. In Your Son's most holy and precious name I pray. Amen.
